
From 2007-2008 she spent 10 months in central France as an assistante d’anglais. Her first position was at Marion Jr/Sr High school where she taught 10th grade Global History & Geography II and AP World History. Tracey has taught numerous history courses in a variety of settings. Additionally, she is teaching varied electives and serving as the library assistant in the Rumsey Library. She is responsible for teaching History 9: Morality, Democracy, and Justice. Tracey joins Allendale Columbia with 18 years of classroom experience. “I have learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou I would work in Admissions for Allendale Columbia, because I wholeheartedly believe in the school. If you could do any job in the world besides what you do now, what would it be? I experienced the benefits of small class instruction as a student at AC, and I realized I could impact children for the rest of their lives in a positive manner. Why did you decide to go into this line of work? Amy and her family moved back to Rochester, and when her youngest child started kindergarten, she began substitute teaching at AC and eventually took a full-time position as a kindergarten teacher. After receiving her master’s degree in Education, she worked in public school in Massachusetts. She also earned a Masters Degree in Human Development with a Specialization in School Counseling from the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester, and she completed her Educational Leadership certification program through SUNY Brockport.Īmy began her career in education after experiencing the dedicated faculty at Allendale Columbia School first-hand as a student at AC. Angelica graduated from Saint John Fisher University with a BS in Psychology where she minored in Human Resources. She also supported the development of systems reaching YWCP’s graduation rate and college bound program and led several initiatives in which she was a leader of the Trauma, Illness, Grief (TIG) team, the restorative team, Urban League of Rochester Black Scholars program coordinator, and the DASA coordinator. Prior to her work at AC, she served as a leader and advocate for students, parents, and colleagues in her capacity as a school counselor. A proud Rochesterian, she came to AC in 2022 with more than a decade of experience working with students, families, and educators in the public school setting. Angelica was born and raised in Rochester, NY.
